Xiaqiang Tang

I am an incoming Ph.D. student at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), starting in September 2024, under the guidance of Professor Xie Sihong.

I obtained a Bachelor degree from Hefei University of Technology in 2021, followed by a Master degree from Tongji University.

Research Interests

My research interest revolves around the development of reliable large language models, such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). I am dedicated to exploring and advancing the capabilities of language models to ensure they are not only powerful but also dependable and safe for widespread application.

My goal is to address and mitigate the challenges associated with the reliability of large-scale language models, such as bias, fairness, and robustness. Aiming to create models that can be confidently deployed in various sectors, including but not limited to healthcare, finance, and education, to bring about substantial societal benefits.

I am eager to collaborate with like-minded researchers and industry professionals who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of what AI can achieve in terms of reliability and ethical considerations.
